Tallam is the new KFCC president

Tallam Nanjunda Shetty, owner of the Abhinay and States theatres in Bangalore has been elected unanimously as the new president of the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce for the term 2006-2007.

K.V. Chandrashekar was also running for the post of president along with Thomas D'souza and Hanumantharaya. Thomas and Hanumantharaya withdrew their nominations on Tuesday, which was last day for withdrawing the applications. In a dramatic turn on Wednesday, K V Chandrashekar also opted for retirement.

Meanwhile Sa. Ra. Govindu has also been elected unanimously as the vice-president of the KFCC from the producer sector. This is his third term as the vice-president. The rest of the competition is still on and the election will be held in the KFCC premises on 28th of this month. The results will be declared around 8.P.M. that day.
