Nayi Neralu, Girish Kasaravalli's latest in full swing

Girish Kasaravalli films are in a class of their own. There is no much scope of heroism and no room for item numbers and violence in his movies. Unlike the typical commercial flicks, his films stand apart not because of the 'salable' star cast or commercial hypes, but his presentation, story, script, locales, and of course the performance that takes the precedence. The latest in the offering from this acclaimed director is 'Nayi Neralu' that went on the floors at Mudambail (Dakshina Kannada) on October 02. The troupe now is busy at Padubidri. Soon will be traveling to Ananthpura (Kasaragod) and then to Mysore around 25th. That winds up the first schedule and the second schedule will start after a short break.

In this production of Basathkumar Patil, Pavitra Lokesh plays the lead role and Ashwin, a youngster makes his entry to Kannada films. Kasaravalli's daughter Ananya plays another key role apart from being the costume designer for this film. S. Ramachandra is behind the camera.
