Dr. Rajkumar's statue at KFCC
Just when the Bangalore City Corporation is still planning
to unveil a statue of Kannada Matinee Idol Dr Rajkumar in
Bangalore, Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce has silently
made efforts to install a statue of Dr Rajkumar in its premises.

D. Kumaraswamy will unveil the bronze statue on 27th October.
Parvathamma Rajkumar will be the guest of honor. Other prominent
film personalities like Dr Vishnuvardhan, Ambareesh, Jayanthi,
B Sarojadevi are expected to attend the function at the KFCC
premises. H D Gangaraju the outgoing president of KFCC has
contributed this statue.
Apart from this the Chief Minister is also expected to inaugurate
the newly constructed three floors on top KFCC. The three
storied building is built on an estimated cost of 1.5 crores.
The state government has spent up nearly one crore for this
project. The KFCC members raise the rest of the 50 lakhs.
