Actor and former minister Ananth Nag has bagged the Karnataka
Sahitya Acadamy Award. He got this honour for a biography
of his brother late Shankar Nag who was an actor and director.
22 more litterateurs have also been recognised. Famous Kannada
writers Muddenur Sanganna, R.V. Kulkarni, K.T. Gatti, Aravind
Malagatti and Sunanda Belagamkar have got the Academy honorary
fellowship. This includes a cash payment of rupees 10,000
and a memento.
