Arjun to re-enter Kannada filmdom as hero

It is a good sign of improvement in Kannada film industry as it is in experimenting mood from past few months for the better. This has given an enormous amount of encouragement to many new comers and talent in the area of acting, direction and technical fields. Kannada actor Arjun

New actors and actresses have tried their luck and many of them have succeeded as well. Producers, directors and even many child actors like Puneet Rajkumar, Vijay Raghavendra, Anannd to name a few who were in this field are now in the lead roles. Now is the turn for Arjun who acted in many Kannada, Tamil, Telugu and Hindi film as child actor is re-entering Kannada filmdom as hero. He is acting in a film that is yet to be named, produced under the banner of Arun Kalavidaru Movies. Owner of the Arun Studios, U.K. Arun (Arjun's father) is producing this film.

Arjun, a B.B.M graduate, will be back soon after completing his course at Amith Kapoor acting school, Mumbai. As a child actor Arjun has acted in many Kannada film including Simhada Mari, Marali Goodige, Mullina Gulabi, Tirugu Bana, Olave Baduku, Kavirathna Kalidasa, Samayada Bombe, Aseya Bale, Chakra Vyuha, Vajra Mushti. He even acted in Telugu (Mavari Gola, Kanchukam Kade, Pacchani Kapuram) and Hindi (Mang Bharo Sajana, Meri Aawaz Suno) movies. He received 'Best Child Artist' award for his Tamil film Illalu Priyalalu that was a remake of Hindi film Masoom.

Young director Hemanth Hegde will be directing this untitled film. His debut film Oo Laa Laa is due for release shortly and second film Dhad Dhad is in full swing. Hemanth is directing this love story film with story, screenplay and dialogues. Sucheta Ballal and Seema Shetty (from Mumbai) are the heroines. Sudharani, Anantha Nag, Kishori Ballal and Avinash are among the main casts. Surendranath Begur will handle camera while Suresh Kumar will score the music. Well-known lyricists like B.S. Laxman etc are writing the lyrics for this film which will be shot mainly in Mangalore and Moodbidri. Is expected to finish-off in a single stretch of 45 days' schedule. Song sequences will be shot in Srilanka. Director Hemanth Hegde who says the title should be catchy enough to attract viewers is still searching for 'something different' kind of title. So he may name this film too like his earlier films Uoo Laa Laa or Dhad Dhad! We wish Arjun all the very best in his new career.
