KFCC elections on Oct. 28

The annual election of the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce will be held on 28th of this month at the Chamber premises. Nomination procedure and the scrutiny procedure are already over and the last date of withdrawal of applications is on October 24th.

The president post for this year has been allotted to the exhibitors sector and four candidates namely K. V. Chandrashekar, Tallam Nanjunda Shetty, Hanumantharayappa and Thomas D'souza are contesting for the presidential elections. Vasudevamurthy who was elected as a president unanimously recently is not contesting for the elections.

One member each from all the three fraternities like exhibitor, distributor and producer sector will contest for the vice president as well as the secretary positions. Prominent producers, distributors and exhibitors like B.N.Gangadhar, Sa.Ra.Govindu, N.Kumar, K.Manju, S.V.Rajendra Singh Babu, Rockline Venkatesh, Basha, Gangappa, Kutty, K V Nagesh Kumar, Mars Suresh, Shailendra Babu, H N Maruthi, Janakiram, S A Chinnegowda among others who are in this year's election arena.

The election will be held from 2to5 at the chamber premises on Oct 28. Results will be announced immediately after elections.
