Mouni
- film based on U.R. Ananthmurthy's novel
Shooting for film Mouni based on Dr. U.R. Ananthamurthy's
novel was started last week. B.S. Lingadevaru is directing
this film for Technomark.
Story of this film is about the owners of betelnut plantations
- how they suffer when the market slashes, ups and down of
their life etc. This film goes around the life style of Malnad
region Brahmin families. So the film will be shot in and arround
Thirthahalli.
Appanna Bhat and Kuppanna Bhat are the two important characters
in the novel Mouni. Ananth Nag and Dattanna
are playing these roles. Harish Raj who has acted in
many TV serials and even in many films (Tayi Saheba, Matadana,
Dweepa etc) too is acting in Mouni. Heroine is Rajeshwari.
Nagendra Shah who played the role of Vinayaka in Grava
TV serial is playing a special role here. Cinematography by
Ramachandra. Famous and senior journalists G.S.
Sadashiv, Uday Marakini, and Jogi have written
screenplay and dialogs.
