Karnataka State Award 2000-01

Girish Kasaravalli Karnataka State Award 2000-01 in the leadership of Mr. Vadiraj which got into too many crisis and critiques, is finally being distributed on 26th of December at Ambedkar Bhavan, Bangalore. Chief Minister Mr. S.M. Krishna will distribute the awards. This program which was supposed to happen quite some time back got delayed due to various problems faced by the State Government including Cauvery water issue and kidnap of ex-minister Nagappa.

Girish Kasaravalli's Dweepa has won the first place while Yekangi of Ravichandran and Neela of Nagabharan has won second and third place respectively.
