Another tearjerker by Sai Prakash
Branded director for sentiment flicks Sai Prakash sprung again
with yet another tearjerker Hettare Hennanne Herabeku. This
film is a remake of Dasari Narayana Rao's decade old Telugu
flick 'Kante Kootarno Kanaali' that had bagged a  National
award. Now Sai Prakash and veteran director and producer K.S.R.
Das is remaking it in Kannada.
Since ages, many are many poverty stricken people from remote
villages in Indian think the birth of a female child is a
curse upon them. But what about families who are rich and
belong to the well-to-do classes? This film revolves around
this serious social issue.
For a change, Rekha has replaced Radhika who used to be the
lead in most of Sai Prakash's tearjerkers. Ajay is her counterpart.
After a long hiatus veteran artistes S.P. Balsubramaniam and
Laxmi are acting in this film. Mano Murthy is scoring the
music while A.C. Mahendran is the cameraman.
