Parodi - new film of Upendra directed by Saiprakash launched

After a sophisticated role in 'Aishwarya', actor Upendra is back with a street-smart role in a new film 'Parodi'. The film, which is supposed to be a remake of Nana Patekar starrer 'Krantiveer' also took off on Friday at the Waheeda Rehman estate.

For the first time veteran director and tearjerker specialist Saiprakash is directing Upendra in this film. Rehman who once produced a super-hit 'Yajamana' is back to production through this film.

"After 'Rakthakanneru' we have given lot of scope to dialogues. K Nanjunda has written the dialogues and I have improvised it. We are banking on dialogues and performances" said Upendra.

Saiprakash said he is really glad to work with Upendra. "Upendra is a great technician. Though we both are from different schools, I always wanted to work with him. He is a proved writer. We can learn a lot from him. Till now I have done nearly 82 films in my career. I have learnt from everyone throughout. I even ask advice from my set boys. Because I think teamwork wins" said Saiprakash.

Saiprakash plans to shoot a song about the legendary Madakarinayaka in Chitradurga. Rudramurthy Shastry has written the lyrics for the film. There are totally six songs and Rajesh Ramanath is incharge of the music.

Neha who did a billingual film called 'Made in USA' with Madhavan is the female lead of the film. She is playing a role of a journalist here. Mansi is playing the role of Upendra's sister. Ramesh Babu is the cameraman.
