Rama Krishna - new Kannada film of Ravichandran and Jaggesh directed by Saiprakash

After Rowdy Aliya, director Saipraksh is busy with his new project Rama Krishna having Ravichandran and Jaggesh in the lead as Rama and Krishna respectively. This is the second film of Ravichandran and Jaggesh combination after Gadibidi Ganda. Rama Krishna is remake of Tamil hit Anpavam. Telugu flick Naku Pellam Kavali too is based on the same story and was a hit film. And hence director Saiprakash is pretty confident about making it a successful movie even in Kannada. Saiprakash's Ramakrishna, a movie packed with romance, rib-tickling comedy and sentiment is 26th film to have Jaggesh in the lead under his direction.

Heroine Kalyani (Keveri in Kannada) hailing from Kerala is reentering Kannada filmdom after a long gape. Kalyani who made her debut in Kannada through 'Sambhrama' directed by Mahesh Sukhadhare (Ramesh Aravind in the lead) disappeared from here. These days she is in limelight in Andra. Laxmiyum Pinne Nyanum was her best film while Kabaddi Kabaddi, Avunu Valliddaru Ista Paddaru and Vasantham are Telugu hits. Kalyani bagged Nandi Award as Best Actress for film Avunu Valliddaru Ista Paddaru. She got Kerala State Award for a telefilm. Currently Kalyani is acting in Ramakrishna and a Telugu movie Peddababu. She is the counterpart for Ravichandran while Laila plays against Jaggesh.

Bala Mutthaiah is the producer of Ramakrishna that was launched during the first week of February this year. Sitharam is the cinematographer and S.A. Rajkumar has scored the music. Mukhya Manthri Chandru, Doddanna, Srinivas Murhty, Sadhu Kokila etc are among the cast.
