Ramba and Crazy Star Ravichandran during Sahukara muhurath
  Ravichandran now 'Sahukara'

AnuprabhakarTwo films of Crazy Star Ravichandran 'Malla' and 'Panduranga Vittala' are due for release. One more of his 'Sahukara' hit the floors on Wednesday. Sahukara is remake of Tamil hit Muttu starring Rajanikanth and Meena that was again a remake of Malayalam flick Thenmavin Kombathu of Mohan Lal. In 1994 Thenmavin Kombathu got National Award for best Art Direction (Surya).

Rambha plays against Crazy Star in Sahukara. She is acting in Panduranga Vittala too. She is a bit relaxed now with fewer assignments from other languages. A few Telugu films are under consideration Rambha said. There was nothing much for film troupe to talk about the film as everyone knows about Muttu. K. Manju is producing the film while Om Prakash Rao is the director. Though one of his latest films Partha failed in the box office, another film Annavru is showing good response.
Om Prakash RaoAccording to Om Prakash Rao, he need not have to changes anything in story of Mutthu to adopt it to Kannada unlike Dalapati (original of Annavru). Out door shooting will take place in Kerala. Troupe has very specific timetable. Initiated on 14th, will complete first schedule on 22nd of this month. Second schedule will start from February 5th and it will end on 12th of March. Ravichandran needs longer day - along with this film, he has to work for Panduranga Vittala too. He will be working in two shifts - morning 7 to 1pm for Panduranga Vitala and 2 to 9pm for Sahukara he says. Due to some sort of misunderstanding between Ravichandran and director Rajendra Babu soon after the launch, film Paduranga Vitala was halted. Is now back in action under the direction of Dinesh Babu. 'Tunta' of his brother Balaji is also progressing and Ravichnadran promised that he will complete his brother's film this time for sure.

RavichandranRavichandran is the person who gave grand and creative touch to Kannada films through his 'crazy' sets. Hence there is lot of expectation that he will adapt new technologies that are currently being used in the film industries like High Definition Camera and digital processing and special effects. Dinesh Babu has used HD camera in two of his films - Magic Ajji and Kanakambari. But Ravichandran is not willing to adopt this before seeing the end result of any one of these films on screen. According to Ravichandran camera is not the only thing that decides the quality of a film. Type of films we use, chemicals used for film developing, grading, - everything matters. Lab owners are not ready to come out of their mindset. They use the same old chemicals for long period. Tamil and Telugu high budget films are digitally graded. They spend approximately 50 to 60 lakhs for digital grading alone! Here we spend one or two lakhs for regular processing. If we cut corners in every level of film making, how can we talk about quality says the crazy star. Producer K. Manju"While using high definition camera, the environment should be clear from dust particles and pollution which is not possible in Bangalore. Because, these cameras capture even minutest details including dust particles" he added.

Anu Prabhakar too is acting in Sahukara. Shashikumar, Rangayana Raghu, Avinash, Sumitra etc are in the cast. Rajesh Ramnath will score the music while K. Kalyan has penned the lyrics. They are using music tunes from Mutthu. So yet another remake film for Kannadigas to watch!
