Tandege Thakka Maga - Uppi & Ambi together!
Yet
another addition to flooded remakes in Kannada! Yes. Fifteen-year-old
Tamil hit 'Thevar Magan' (1992) is being remade in Kannada
as 'Tandege Thakka Maga'. Ambarish who  acted
with most of the senior actors, is acting with Upendra in
the lead for the first time. Thevar Magan starring Shivaji
Ganeshan and Kamal Hassan in the lead was
a super hit movie. Probably, the producer must be thinking,
if Upendra starrer 50-year-old Rakta Kanneeru can become a
hit, why not a 15-year-old 'Thevar Magan'! S. Ramesh, the former
president of KFCC is producing the movie that mounted this
evening (Feb. 20) at Grand Ashok, Bangalore. Since it's a film of Congress
men, Karnataka Chief Minister Dharam Singh too was present
at the function.
S. Mahendar directs 'Tandege Thakka Maga' while Gurukiran
scores the music and Krishna Kumar is behind the camera. Search
for female leads is on.
