The
City - film of Saikumar and Hirannaiah
 Producer
Shilpa Shrinivas who had produced films like Romeo
Juliet that was not remarkable in the box office also has
one more film in his basket by name City Market. Now its turn
for him to cover-up the dent caused in those projects and
is producing a new film by name 'The City' having dialogue
king Saikumar and master Hirannaiah in the lead
roles. This film was launched last week at Basavanagudi. Actor
Sudeep was present at the muhurath as special guest.
Thespian Hirannaiah is well known for his sharp dialogues
revealing the corruption in the society and politics. For
this veteran, film industry is not a new area. His earlier
film Hudgeeru Saar Hudggeru is due for release.
In the film 'The City' Hirannaiah plays the role of
an idealist school teacher who lives in a village and Saikumar
plays the role of his son who believes in practicality not
just the loyalty. Story of this film is based on the difference
of opinion between such a father and son. Mumbai girl Priyanka
Pandith plays the heroine role where this is her debut
film. J.G. Krishna wears various hats of cinematography,
story, direction and screenplay. Sadhukikola has scored
the music for 5 numbers. Doddanna, Rekha, Sadhukokila,
Sagar, master Bharath (son of Shilpa Srinivas) are among
the cast.
