  Rebirth of 'Thunta'

Looks like a new trend is being set in Kannada film industry. Started with Dayanayak last year, this wave continued now with 'Thunta' that's being revamped completely. Yes, except the title and the hero, everything else has changed. It was during June Ekta Kosla in Tuntasecond week last year when the song recording for film 'Thunta' commenced and the project took backseat thereafter. Now, almost after seven months, a different team has launched the project once again with new technicians and cast. Omprakash Rao directs this movie instead of Prem, and Ravichandran for music in place of R.P. Patnayak! Apparently, Omprakash Rao himself is producing this film! His recent movie Kalasipalya is nearing 100 days! Yesterday, during the muhuruth of Thunta, director Omprakash Rao said, since it's completely a new story, music composed earlier are not inline with what is needed. Interestingly, Anand Sogalada - producer of earlier 'Thunta' too is one of the producers of this movie!

Ekta Kosla, a Mumbai girl is debuting through Thunta. She was in the modeling world there. Ekta plays the role of a collage girl who drags the hero on to love track while the hero is a dizzy guy. Thunta has pretty interesting star cast comprising Sudharani, Vanitavasu, Chitra Shenoy, Sharan, Ganesh, Ramakrishna, Dharma, Swastik Shankar etc. G.S.V. Sitaram is behind the camera and M.S. Ramesh has penned the dialogs.
