Ravichandran aiming high on 'Aham Premasmi'
In
any of Ravichandran's productions from Premaloka to Yekangi,
common elements to be seen are his unique sets. More than
luxurious, his creative structures are innovative in nature.
Aimed at creating another milestone like Premaloka, this trendsetter
of Kannada filmdom has erected a massive set for his latest
production 'Aham Premasmi' that is acquainting his brother
Balaji to Kannada. Its a different world the moment you step
into Abbaih Naidu Studio where a huge book opens up. Stacked
books on top are the added decorations. The way Ravichandran
says, he represents 'love' (Prema) in this movie. Piled books
there are his experiences, his feeling… Backdrops for this
artistic creation are beautifully painted horses! They too
have special significance!
Ismayeel and Shivakumar who architected this set at a cost
of 15 lakhs worked for more than two months to bring it to
this shape! In a nutshell, its Ravichandran's world all together
to be all to end all! A fusion dance is being composed on
this gigantic set.
Ravichandran is aiming high to introduce his brother. He is
expecting 'Aham Premasmi' to be a milestone in Balaji's life
and should be the jump board for his film career. As the title
says, is based on 'love'. Crazy Star has done, directed and
acted in innumerable love story films. When asked how 'Aham
Premasmi' is different from his earlier projects, he says,
"During Prema Loka era, I was outside the heart. Now I'm looking
at the world from inside…" This film will be a yardstick for
those who talk about quality he says confidently. Talking
about the current uncertainty of Kannada showbiz industry,
he says we certainly needed this but the way its executed
is not right.
