'Jogi' - maiden project of 'Ashwini Productions' starring Shivarajkumar

Compulsive to the core with immense industry experience of over eighteen years, the mega audio house of Kannada music industry - Ashwini Recording Company has now ventured into film production. New era of Ashwini begins with their maiden film project 'Jogi' produced under the banner 'Ashwini Productions' that is launched today (23rd Oct.) on Vijaya Dashami. Starting from their program invitation to a grand, one of its kind muhurath of 'Jogi' is an example of their special eye for innovativeness. Ambarish clapped the muhurath shot that had Shivarajkumar coming forth in the attire of a 'jogi' (wandering ascetic) surrounded by gangsters. Entire Raj family graced the event and the whole Kannada film industry was thronged to wish Ashwini Productions.

'Jogi' that is featuring Shivarajkumar in the lead has Prem's direction. With two consecutive hit films, Prem is now a known director for novelty. The publicity materials of Jogi gave an impression of it becoming another Om with traces of Prem's debut film Kariya. Denying this, Shivarajkumar said, "Jogi is Director Prem

completely a new approach. Has nothing to do with Om nor Kariya". Appearing in a very special getup, Shivarajkumar looks completely different in Jogi. "Mine will be a radically distinctive character that has intense and everlasting values" he added. When asked how Jogi is different from two of his earlier movies, director Prem said, "All three films are different in its own way". Contemplating the subject thoroughly, Prem has done all the groundwork to the fullest perfection. However, he refused to reveal the connection between tranquility associated with the title and rigorous look of the hero! Starting from November 5, shooting will be done in Male Mahadeshwara forest, Rajastan and Bangalore. With brigand Virappan's demise, the major hurdle bothering many has been cleared! Heroine will be finalized soon among the short listed five gals. Ace theater actress Arundhati Nag is appearing on the silver screen after a long interval and plays a key role. Music is by Gurukiran and M.R. Seenu is behind the camera.
