'Gouramma'
- releasing this week!
 Upendra
and Ramya starrer Gouramma is releasing this Friday (June
03). Though the title sounds too traditional and heroine oriented,
this film is not only about Ramya. Remake of Telugu flick
Nuvvu Naaku Nacchav, Gouramma is a very sensible love story
where both hero and heroine have equal importance. 'Kutumba'
team is once again aiming high! Naganna directed this movie
for producer Shailendra Babu. Original version of this movie
released in 2001 starring Venkatesh and Arthi Chabriya was
a box office hit and has also won the Nandi Award. According
to director Naganna, Gouramma is a perfect family entertainer.
S.A. Rajkumar has scored the music for lyrics by Upendra and
Kaviraj. Srinivas Murthy, Chitra Shenoi, Raksha, Doddanna
etc are in the supporting roles.
A few more films of Upendra are in the queue. Uppi Dada MBBS,
News, Auto Shankar are those movies. News and Uppi Dada were
launched much before Gouramma and Auto Shankar. But still
lagging as the producers of those two are facing financial
crunches according to sources.
